As I have stated before, I am a PLANNER. Our moving trip was just another opportunity to do just that. Day one began at 6am with breakfast with our beautiful children before we shuffled off. Daughter, Maddison started us out with "snack bags" filled with our favorites. DORITOS were most definately on the menu- I'll fill you in later on that note.
Our caravan of 3 vehicles, 4 drivers and 2 dogs left Meadville, PA at 8am right on schedule.
DAY 1- we spent 10 hours on the road, making a stop every couple of hours to refill our coffee mugs, take a P break and swap drivers, we arrived in Franklin, Kentucky at a Days Inn. We arrived at our hotel just in time to order Italian in and watch the Steelers play football. A must for Flip & Dan.
DAY 2- up for an early breakfast at 8am and on the road by 9. We spent 9ish hours on the road, again stopping regulary for the essentials. Having dinner at a Denny's in Texarkana, AR. Dinner was full of Flip's dad's stories of childhood and characters. A little more weary this eve, we all turned in early at a LaQuinta Inn. The weather was definately showing signs of WARM.
DAY 3- on the road by 8:30am after a hotel breakfast we drove 8 hours into the Northeast side of San Antonio, where we bunked for the night at another LaQuinta Inn. All 4 travelers very weary at this point we plotted our plan for unloading and moving things into the apartment we would call home until our home is built.
