Isn't it funny how sometimes the best of plans evolve into an adventure. I'm sure my dear husband is not in agreement of my calling it an adventure. After setting our plan for our Saturday the night prior. We woke this morning, warm weather, had a good cup of coffee, took the pups for a walk, chatted with the neighbor- a good start right. So here's where the adventure started...
We live in a "tiny" apartment. Coming from a 4 bedroom house with a full attic and basement, 522 square feet is TINY! It's an apartment- temporary, but doable for us while we get settled, find work, and build our new home. WELL for weeks now I've been "complaining" about the condition of the carpet- needs a scrubbing to freshen it up a bit. My dear husband agreed to take on the task with me this Saturday morning.
The planner in me made phone calls on Friday to locate a Home Depot close to the apartment that rented DIY rug cleaners. We were set. Off I sent Flip to pick one up and we'd be getting it done. I stayed behind to run the vaccum and spot clean. 2 hours later, I'm starting to wonder what in the world happened so I give dear Flip a ring. Let me first say that I have been know to turn off the ringer on my cell phone and forget to turn it back on. This was the case this morning and Flip had been trying to reach me as there displayed on the screen were 7 missed calls from my husband. OOPS! I reached him to find that he had been driving circles around the city in search of a carpet cleaner. One thing I can say about Flip, he has a determination to get the job done one way or another. I love him to death. I would have turned the car around toward home and regrouped, not Flip he was like a bloodhound on the scent trail of the mighty carpet cleaner. Three hours after he had left the house he arrived with his prize! Job done and off to a new adventure.
